After Us: A Journey to Restore Life
After Us is a new adventure game developed by Piccolo, available on Play Station 5. In this game, you play as Gaia, the Spirit of Life, on a mission to save the souls of extinct animals and revive them. The game takes you through stunning platforming environments in an abstract world, where you face dangerous, oil-covered Devourers that hunt down remaining life.
Gaia's traversal abilities allow you to glide, jump, and dash to explore new areas, evade deadly traps, and break souls free. You can also clear the oil that consumes the world and face hungry Devourers with her special gifts. The game's surrealistic world depicts the destructive relationships between humans and nature through a beautiful demonstration of abstract artistry. Each environment offers new challenges, and as you progress, you will learn the fate of the Devourers as agents of extinction and progress, love, and hope.
